JOB SYNOPSIS FOR SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Studies, plans and prepares for business area changes and process re-engineering issues such as electronic authorization, business procedure changes to suit best business practices, recommended by application packages. Conducts workshops for end users to discuss alternatives for meeting business requirements and recommends solutions available in the software packages ensuring ADGAS gets maximum benefits from the investment as a corporate asset. Undertakes complete responsibility for selected modules to provide both technical and business support in co-ordination with Team Leader, which includes evaluation of alternatives, new features and business related changes. Monitors security and authorization profiles for the responsible modules. Plans, implements and monitors system integration and interfaces, configuration changes, specific customization or modifications and the testing and installation of new releases. Liaises with the application vendor and maintains contact with their online support system for resolution of software problems and implementation of new bug fixes as recommended. Plans and participates in the development of Executive information System spanning across modules.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMNTS:-

1- Must be a B.Sc. in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.

2- 8 years of systems analysis and design as well as project management experience preferably in Oil & Gas Industry including development experience using GUI 4th Generation tools, RDBMS and PC tools. Extensive business area Knowledge in at least two of the major business areas - Marketing Materials, Plant Maintenance, Operations, Finance. Human Resources,…etc. with implementation experience using business application packages like SAP.

3- At least 3 years experience in SAP R/3 FI/CO modules and ABAP programming.

4- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

5- Very good standard of English including oral and written communicator skills.
