We, The People of Egypt, assert our legal and human rights to keep our Lands and Lives safe. In the mean time, we assert that The Government of Her Majesty The Queen of The United Kingdom is responsible for clearing all the ordnance that Her Majesty's Armed Forces (as forces of occupation to Egypt during WW II) have left behind in our North West Desert.

The mine fields, in particular, constitute a great and continueous hazard. The hazard is not confined to our precious and priceless lives. It also deprives us, for the past sixty years and years to come, from exercising our irrefutable right to develop that particular promising area.

Our youth, when they visit the cemeteries at Alamein, feel great pain and sorrow for the thousands of the war victims buried in our good earth. However, their pain and sorrow for their fellow citizens that are killed or become handicap every day, is no less. Their pain and sorrow for their lost opportunities, is no less. Their pain and sorrow for turning blind eyes and deaf ears to their growing agony is no less. No one can blame our youth generations to look at those mine fields as a great obstacle intentionally deployed in their path. They wonder how does'nt the civilized world look at leaving those killer ordnance behind the same way it looks at any other war crime

Therefore,

I, the undersigned, together with all Egyptians demand that Her Majesty's Government live up to its legal and moral commitments. We demand a respectful government to start right away, as part of legitimate reparation, surveying and clearing those mine fields from all mines and other ordnance.

Very truly yours,

- فعلا .. deprived of ..

إستعملت is فى الفقرة قبل الأخيرة بدلا من are بعد جملة the pain and sorrow

Dear Messrs

When the Interpol forces cooperate Worldwide to present a Nazi war criminal to trial for a crime against humanity committed by him many years ago, this becomes the simplest symbol of the international community legal right. Such a right that stresses the fact that the criminal's responsibility for crimes against humanity and crimes of wars are non-prescription crimes.

Applying the same rules, what your government did in the past matches, and even exceeds what we can call a typical “crime against humanity” A crime against the whole innocent civilian people of a country that enlightened the World with its cultures and arts when the rest of the Word was still living in darkness thousands of years ago.

For more than 72 years (1882-1954), Great Britain (now UK) occupied our beloved country Egypt and stopped the wheel of our development...socially, economically, politically and, above all, culturally.

As sooner or later, each party committing a mistake should pay for it and redeem its maltreatment and injustice towards the other party. It is now the time to shoulder your responsibility and amend your malicious acts against our country in the near past ....

We do not want fictional financial compensations, but (legally) we deserve a practical apology ... Practically, you must stop completely your occupation to our lands ... because you still occupy a very important part of our country in the form of fields of mines ...

These mines are still killing and injuring thousands of innocent civilian victims (mostly children). These wild fields (we call Fields of Satan) are depriving us of using the natural resources of our lands that could solve and enrich, if invested, the lives of more than 2 million Egyptian youngpeople; whom I represent.

Please have a look at the geological map of Egypt, particularly the Northern coast of Egypt West of Alexandria till Libya, you will understand what I mean ....

Messrs ... It’s now the time .... REMOVE YOUR MINES!

(2) ما دمنا استعملنا ال Present Perfect يبقى مفيش داعى لعبارة.... for the past sixty years .... and is still

It has deprived us, for the past sixty years, of exercising our irrefutable right to develope that particular promising area and will contiue to be an outstanding threat to our well being as long as those mine fields remain

When our youth generations visit
(6) أفضل كتابتها هكذا their fellow Egyptian citizens ; those who have been killed and those who have become handicapped
أنا كنت كاتبها turning blind eyes and deaf ears to their growing agony بمعنى "ادعاء العمى والصمم تجاه معاناتهم المتنامية"
(13) أعتقد of أصح من from
Truly Yours

The hazard is not only limited to our precious and priceless lives, but also extends to deprive us

When our youth generations visit the cemeteries at Alalamein, they feel great pain and sorrow for the thousands of the war victims buried in our good earth which is no worse than their feelings for their fellow Egyptian citizens who became handicapped for the rest of their lives

No one can blame our youth generations for looking at those mine fields as a great obstacle intentionally deployed in their path and they wonder, How can the civilized world ignore such a terrible war crime ? What stops them from taking an action ?

Dear Sir

Cooperation between all police forces around the globe to bring a nazi criminal to justice and retaliation for a crime committed several years ago is one of the most basic legal rights that emphasizes the fact that crime responsibilities do not get dropped by time. What your government did in the past is considered - at least - a crime against people, it is by all means a crime against an entire population of a country that was once the source of light to the rest of the world living in darkness

For more than 70 years you have occupied our country and halted our both civil and economic progress and development, and since that sooner or later every criminal will be held responsible for repairing the damage he caused, it is time for you to correct your previous mistakes. We are not asking for fancy monetary compensation, but legally we deserve a practical apology, legally you must completely end your occupation. Till now your leftover mines are still killing people and depriving us from our wealth which 2 millions of youth are in desperate need for. Take a look at the geological map of Egypt from the northern coast of Alexandria down till Libya and you will know what we are talking about

Sir, It is really time, to take out your landmines

The mine fields, in particular, constitute a great and continueous hazard. The hazard is not confined to our precious and priceless lives. It has deprived us, for the past sixty years, of exercising our irrefutable right to develope that particular promising area and will contiue to be an outstanding threat to our well being as long as those ordnance remain on our lands.

To,

The Honourable Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,

10 Downing Street,

London

SW1A 2AA

UK

We, the People of Egypt, assert our legal and human rights to keep our Lands and Lives safe. In the mean while, we assert that The Government of Her Majesty-The Queen of The United Kingdom- is responsible for clearing all the ordnance that Her Majesty's Armed Forces (as forces of occupation to Egypt during WW II) have left behind in our North West Desert.

The mine fields, in particular, constitute great and continueous hazard. The hazard is not only confined to our precious and priceless lives but also has been depriving us for the past sixty years of exercising our irrefutable right to develope the particular promising area and would continue to be an outstanding threat to our well being as long as those ordnance remain on our lands.

When our youth generations visit the cemeteries at Alalamein, they feel great pain and sorrow for the thousands of the war victims buried in our good earth. However, their pain and sorrow for their fellow Egyptian citizens ; those who have been killed and those who have become handicapped for the rest of their lives, are no less. Also, their pain and sorrow for their lost opportunities are no less. Their feeling of bitterness for turning blind eyes and deaf ears to their growing concern is no less, if not greater, than their noble feeling towards the war victims.

No one can blame our youth generations for looking at those mine fields as a great obstacle intentionally deployed in their path. They do wonder, how doesn't the civilized world look at leaving those killer ordnance behind the same way it looks at any other war crime?

Therefore,

we, the undersigned, together with all Egyptians demand that Her Majesty's Government live up to its legal and moral commitments. We demand a respectful government to start right away, as part of legitimate reparation, surveying and clearing those mine fields of all mines and other ordnance.

Truly Yours,

The Undersigned
